Hongjie customizes O-rings and seals by size, material, hardness, temperature, pressure, and media requirements.
Hongjie supplies standard and custom rubber O-rings for industrial, automotive, medical, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid-control systems. Buyers can submit an AS568, metric or JIS size code, an existing part number, a drawing or a physical sample for quotation.
Our custom O-ring capability covers inner diameters from 0.60 mm to 1000 mm, with cross sections up to 20 mm depending on material, tooling and application requirements. Common customization options include material, color, hardness, size, tolerance, surface finish, packaging method and inspection level.
For new projects, Hongjie can also help review basic sealing conditions before production, including working media, temperature, pressure, groove design, static or dynamic movement and certification requirements. For complex applications, contact our rubber seal engineering support team before confirming the material or tooling plan.

Compare common O-ring compounds by temperature range, media compatibility, limitations and relative cost. Final selection should also consider pressure, movement, groove design and expected service life.
| Rubber Material Comparison | |
|---|---|
| NBR / Nitrile | Typical temperature range: -40°C to 120°C. Best for oil, fuel, hydraulic fluid and general industrial sealing. Not ideal for ozone, outdoor aging and strong chemicals. Relative cost: Baseline. |
| FKM | Typical temperature range: -20°C to 200°C. Best for high temperature, fuel, oil, chemicals and harsh environments. Not ideal for low-cost general sealing where NBR is sufficient. Relative cost: High. |
| EPDM | Typical temperature range: -50°C to 150°C. Best for water, steam, weather, ozone and outdoor sealing. Not ideal for petroleum oil and fuel. Relative cost: Medium. |
| Silicone | Typical temperature range: -60°C to 200°C. Best for medical, sanitary, food-contact and clean-use applications. Not ideal for high-wear dynamic sealing. Relative cost: Medium to High. |
| HNBR | Typical temperature range: -40°C to 150°C. Best for automotive AC, oil systems, heat resistance and wear resistance. Not ideal for applications where standard NBR already meets the requirement. Relative cost: Medium to High. |
Hongjie supplies O-rings based on standard dimensions as well as fully customized drawings. Standard sizes are suitable for replacement parts, hydraulic components, pneumatic systems and general equipment assemblies. Custom sizes are used when the sealing groove, product design or working conditions do not match a catalog size.

Static sealing means the O-ring seals between two parts that do not move relative to each other after assembly. Common examples include flanges, covers, plugs, housings, connectors and fixed valve interfaces. Static seals usually focus on compression, chemical compatibility, pressure resistance and long-term compression set.
Dynamic sealing means the O-ring or seal works between moving surfaces. Examples include pistons, rods, shafts, cylinders, pumps and moving valve components. Dynamic sealing requires more attention to friction, wear, lubrication, pressure changes, extrusion gap and surface finish.
For moving or hydraulic systems, see Hydraulic O-Ring Seals. Applications involving pressure, movement, extrusion risk or aggressive media can be reviewed by our rubber seal engineering team before material and tooling confirmation.
O-rings used in automotive, water, food-contact, medical, electrical and industrial applications may require different compliance documents. Hongjie can support material and product requirements according to the selected compound and project conditions.
| COMPLIANCE OPTION | TYPICAL USE |
|---|---|
| FDA 21 CFR 177.2600 | Rubber articles for repeated food-contact use, depending on compound selection. |
| NSF/ANSI 61 | Drinking water and water-contact sealing applications. |
| WRAS BS 6920 | Potable water-related rubber sealing applications. |
| REACH | Substance control for EU market requirements. |
| RoHS | Restricted substance control for electrical and industrial applications. |
| ASTM D2000 | Rubber material classification and engineering specification control. |
Hongjie O-rings and rubber seals help prevent leakage, maintain pressure, resist chemicals, and support reliable sealing performance in equipment assemblies.
Major Industries
Served Worldwide
O-rings, sealing rings, lip seals, and rubber seals for engines, fuel systems, transmissions, cooling systems, and vehicle assemblies.
Silicone O-rings and custom rubber seals for pumps, valves, diagnostic equipment, sanitary fittings, and clean-use sealing applications.
Rubber O-rings, Viton seals, piston seals, and double lip seals for hydraulic, pneumatic, valve, pump, and machinery sealing systems.
Inspection plans can be agreed according to the drawing, order quantity and acceptable defect risk. Available options may include AQL sampling, dimensional and hardness checks, visual inspection, approved-sample comparison and 100% automatic Doss machine inspection for projects requiring tighter defect control.
Critical dimensions, appearance limits, material requirements and inspection criteria should be confirmed before sample approval and mass production.
